Another tuba lesson today at the music store.  Jacek started playing the tuba last year for band at school.  He loved it and it turns out he's really, really good at it.  A natural!  The band teacher is infamous and wonderful and told me at parent/teacher conference twice that Jacek is the fastest tuba study ever in the history of his 20 years of teaching.  He has an ear for the perfect pitch of the notes.  I just think it's a great balance to all the basketball he does!  :)

Asia loves to be held like a baby in your arms.  Jacek and I came back from shopping and he was trying his nice clothes on with his new tie.  Doesn't he look sharp?  Anyway, he was holding her like a baby and wanted me to take her picture.  I loved this one!  All of the ones where he is cradling her turned out blurry.

The boys had their 6 month dentist appointment today at Dr. DeHart's office.  Jacek's feet officially hang off the edge of the dental chair and he is now taller than his 6'2" dentist.  I have always joked with Dr. DeHart that once Jacek can't fit in the chair, does that mean he can't come anymore?  Keaton did well too and had no cavities, but he needs to floss more.  Jacek has a tiny cavity that we need to fix next week.  He's brushing well, but needs to floss more too.

After being on vacation back East for 12 days, Eli is finally home.  Keaton missed him fiercely and couldn't wait to have a play date with him.  Sandra's grandma passed away so she left for Texas today. Eli is having a sleepover tonight and I think they are going to sleep down in the basement all by themselves.  They have big schemes about pushing the two couches together and sleeping on them side by side.

Today was the last day of swimming lessons for the summer.  Where did the last 8 weeks go?  At the end of each two week sessions, you get a sucker.  Eli has been on vacation this past session, so he couldn't come.  But that didn't stop you from getting a sucker for him.  You are always thinking of others and are so thoughtful.

Jacek wanted to make something sweet today, so he looked in my cookbook and found a peanut butter cookie recipe.  I told him he could add chocolate chips and he was sold.  He did a great job and they went fast.  Yummy!

For once, I woke up before Keaton did and I thought he looked so peaceful and cute that I had to take a photo.  Couldn't you just nibble on that neck?  :)

Keaton and I had a very busy day.  We had swimming lessons and then right after Max's birthday party. Then later that evening we drove up to Park City to meet with my friend Irene and her two girls for dinner.  We ate at a restaurant at the resort and it was nice to sit outside.  The kids played hide and go seek and ran around for a while afterwards.  This picture is of Keaton and Sophie using the sign as a hiding place.
